We read every message. Please include your device and system version (for example “iPad Air, iPadOS 18”), the course and boats in the race, and what happened. If you can, attach a Save race file from the toolbar — it records every move so we can replay exactly what you saw.

Frequently asked questions

How do I learn the rules?

Tap Rules in the toolbar. It covers sailing, points of sail, the speed chart, Mother Nature, Pirate cannons and the course you are on. The in-app rules match the Quick Rules for the Egg Cup Challenge.

Can I play with friends?

Yes — on one device. On a desktop or tablet, set seats as human captains and pass the device around (pass and play). Mix friends and computer captains in the same race if you like. On a phone, race solo against the computer captains. There is no online multiplayer at launch.

How hard are the computer captains?

On the start screen choose Novice, Intermediate or Advanced. Intermediate is the default.

Can I stop and finish a race later?

Yes. The game keeps your race in progress on your device automatically. Tap Save race anytime to keep a copy as a file, then use Load to continue racing or watch a full replay. The same file always shows the same race.

Does the game need the internet?

No. All races play offline. An optional chart expansion needs the App Store once to buy and restore, then stays on your device.

How do I restore an expansion I already bought?

Purchases are handled by Apple. On your device, open the App Store account / purchase history tools, or use the restore-purchases control in the app when it is available. If a restore fails, email us with the Apple ID email you used to buy (not your password) and we will help you sort it out with Apple’s records.

How do refunds work?

Refunds for the app and in-app purchases are handled by Apple, not by Hopping Crow. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID that made the purchase.

What devices does it run on?

Yacht Race for iOS runs on iPhone with iOS 15 or later and plays in landscape. The web version plays in any modern browser.

Does the game collect my data?

No. There are no ads, accounts, analytics or tracking of our own. Race progress, mute and a first-launch tip stay on your device only. See the Privacy Policy.

I deleted the app. Can I get my race back?

Only if you saved a race file somewhere else. The automatic save lives on your device and is removed with the app. Expansion purchases stay tied to your Apple ID and can be restored after reinstalling.

How do I turn the sound off?

Use the sound button in the toolbar. The game remembers your choice on that device.
